The Role
Utilizing a team approach, the (Life Sciences) Inside Sales Representative Representative will need to be self-motivated, personable, well-spoken, and attain strong organizational skills to create sales solutions and provide quality customer service to support the sales goals and objectives of PMS Life Science Business. The role will be responsible for developing new leads, qualify existing leads, manage leads, converting leads into sales, and developing a book of business to achieve an annual sales target of $1million. In addition, an inside sales representative will act as the internal liaison to oversee the promotion and administration of a rental/lease program, field sales demo requests and materials, and communications status on quality surveys, NDAs, and USRS requests for customers. The inside-sales representative will partner with marketing to identify opportunities for national and regional digital marketing campaigns, advertising, webinar/podcast and electronic sales tools to support the goals to drive revenue generating book of business. Lastly be able to manage defined Key Performance Indicators and individual performance measures to evaluate continuous levels of improvement.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
  • Qualify, follow up and manage data related to sales leads received from web site, 800 line calls or other sources then verify opportunity size based on inside sales parameters
    • Developing Leads
      • Cold Calling to develop New Leads
      • Conduct Outbound Calls to address Existing Customers requests
      • Conduct Outbound Calls to qualify all marketing leads as prospects
      • Updating and converting Leads to Prospects and Contact information within SFDC
      • Assigning Qualified Leads within SFDC
  • Developing Prospecting (Cross-Sell, 30 Day follow Up, & Announcements)
    • Conduct outbound calls/emails/teams meetings to existing customers to identify cross-selling opportunities
    • Conduct outbound calls/emails/teams meetings to provide a 30 day follow up
    • Conduct outbound calls/emails/teams meetings to inform customers of marketing and networking activities
  • Provide a general point of contact for leads, prospects and customers for inquiries on deliveries, account information or standing , applications, pricing, virtual training and demos, account set-up etc.
  • Respond to customer contacts, and assist with product applications inquiries.

  • Track activity and customer interaction within SFDC using defined Key Performance Indicators, report data as directed in a business plan.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of database related to customer relationship management.
  • Assist in development of tele-marketing and other sales strategies designed to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop customer interaction, presentation and facilitation skills. Master use and function of key PMS instruments to facilitate customer equipment and software demonstration.

Qualifications:
  • Previous inside sales experience selling into pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology manufacturing and research and development environments
  • Previous experience with selling or using environmental monitoring devices
  • Four-year degree in life science, and/or engineering or technical field with lab or research experience in life sciences or instrumentation
  • Motivated and eager to succeed
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals
  • Professional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Multitasker with ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior business experience desirable.
  • Familiar with sales methodologies
  • Experience with Computers and Microsoft Office Programs
The Nuts and Bolts
Location – This is an “in-office” position 20-40% of the time with Covid precautions being taken. The location of this position is in Boulder, CO. The remainder of the time you may work from home. These percentages are targets with the actual schedule to be determined in conjunction with the Manager's expectations for the position. Relocation may be offered for this role, but local candidates will receive first consideration.
Travel – Will require 25-50% Travel

Pay Range
$60,000 – 90,000 depending upon experience

Particle Measuring Systems determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for the Boulder, Colorado area. We will evaluate external equity, which is the relative marketplace job worth of jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we try to make competitive offers between the minimum and around the midpoint of the range. This allows the new employee room for future merit increases during review cycles. There may be times when we will offer above the midpoint. The decision to do so will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and the compensation rates of the employees within the company doing the same position.
